Japan's virgin wives turn to sex volunteers
Like many Japanese women, Junko waited until her early 30s to get married. When she and her fiance, an employee of a well-known firm, decided to tie the knot, she set her sights on making a home, putting away some money and starting a family.

Fifteen years later, Junko and her husband are childless. It is not that they cannot have children; it is just that they have never had sex.

The sexless marriage is one of several reasons why experts fear Japan is on the verge of a demographic disaster.

1. We've got to be careful here
The last time this article was posted, it turned into a "sex thread"

4. No it's an "asexual" thread. I think there is lots of for**##tion going
on in Japan, not just between married couples. At the end of the day, Japanese men like to "go out on the town" and have a good time, just like men everywhere. Given their position of authority, they actually get to do it without the harassment present in...ahmm...other cultures. This is a strange article, however, but, hey mods, it's an "asexual" thread, no sex is the topic. What's the best position for no sex? Opposite ends of the city!

5. Not if you're a guy and you want to hang out every night WITHOUT
taking any crap from your wife. Japan beats us hands down.

6. I don't get it
Why would you marry a person, if you didn't want to have sex with them?

7. Lots of reasons, maybe
Enhance family prestige (Tycoon Family A latches up with Tycoon Family B)

Publicity (Entertainer A marries Entertainer B, appear on scads of TV shows)

Set up business arrangement (get deductions for both business and marriage)

Pressure from family ("Takeshi, you're 30 years old! Get married, already!")
