"U.S. Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine), co-sponsor of the national gun-industry immunity bill, has had a long-standing professional relationship with Richard Dyke, the CEO of Bushmaster Firearms Inc., The Hill reported Sept. 3.
The Maine firearms company has been named in the lawsuit filed by victims of last fall's Washington, D.C.-area sniper shootings. Bushmaster Firearms is a supplier to Bull's Eye Shooter Supply in Washington state, where the snipers obtained the rifle used in the shootings.
According to campaign-finance records, Dyke, his family members, and employees gave $17,500 to Collins during her 2002 reelection campaign.
In addition, Dyke supported Collins in her 1994 bid against former Gov. Angus King and helped her in obtaining the executive director's position at the Richard E. Dyke Center for Family Business, which Dyke established at Husson College in Bangor."

You might recall that Dyke also had to resign as pResident Turd's chief fundraiser in Maine when the news of his participation became public...no doubt due to the voters' love for assault weapons (NOT).
