Bipartisan Agreement Sends Gun Bill Forward in Congress |
|
I can live with this.
"Leading Republicans and Democrats in Congress have reached an agreement that would guarantee passage of a bill aimed at preventing felons, illegal immigrants, spouse-abusers, people with a history of mental illness, and others from purchasing guns, the New York Times reported Sept. 25.
Under the measure, $375 million a year for the next three years would be provided to state agencies and courts to upgrade databases on criminals and other people banned from buying firearms.
Information reported by states has been incomplete, enabling thousands of people banned under federal law from buying guns to slip through the FBI's background-check system".

4. How Unsurprising...... |
|
...that the "history of mental illness" aspect might trouble some of you RKBA types.
You people created three separate threads here in J/PS not long ago to demand guns for the blind; I wonder if the mental illness issue will cause a similarly bizarre response.....
