Good thing she was armed...
Otherwise, they might have tracked MUD on her CARPETS!!!

Local woman pulls gun on deliverymen for not taking off shoes

Two furniture deliverymen fled a home after a customer produced a gun because they wouldn't take their shoes off, according to police reports...

...The homeowner, who was not identified, asked the deliverymen to take off their shoes.

They replied removing their shoes was against company policy and pointed out they were wearing protective covers so as not to damage her carpet, the report stated.

An argument ensued, which expanded to cover other problems the woman had with the store, and the woman got a handgun.

Must've been some argument

4. Another gun used for self defense!
I suppose the gun lovers will say that the deliverymen should have had guns, too!

10. Sigh...
:eyes:

Unless there is more to the story than we're being told, she'll likely be charged with felony assault, and lose her right to own a gun for life.

You know full well the criteria that must be met for a case to be ruled self-defense...

5. Hyacinth would be proud
Hyacinth Bucket (she pronounces it Bouquet)is a snobbish character on a British sitcom, Keeping Up Appearances, who is very over the top about her home. She has no reason to be snooty as she's run of the middle class but she reminds me of my cousin who's last name happens to be Bush - and she's proud of it.

6. I have delivered a lot of furniture.
Going into the home of a obsessive compulsive is like getting into Nasa's clean room.

They are freaked out by strangers in their home. Any further stress could easily make them snap.

I have seen them get absolutely livid about some spot of dirt on the floor or a ding in the door frame.

8. She obviously has not been educated in the proper use of firearms.
Shoulda drawn on them from the front window...she would have had some cover.

9. I'm really glad she didn't actually point it at anyone
apparently she got the 'desired results' as the deliverymen were obviously well versed in the concept that "discretion is the better part of valor"...

Hopefully when this goes to court, she'll get a bit of an education in gun safety and proper use of firearms in self defense - which is not to be confused with upholstery defense :P

I'm still laughing - but only because no one was hurt. The woman could easily have been shot or tasered by police responding to the call, which would have been sad for both them and her.
