1. That's pretty mixed up |
|
They haven't been charged but at the same time they're "accused" but then again they're "suspects".
I'm confused!

Who's going to protect you from the protector?

some of those that post here are perfectly happy with that. Ask them what will happen when the chips are down and the first thing that probably comes to their mind is where their cellphone is.
Then again, ask them to put a big "NO GUNS IN THIS HOUSE" sign in their yard and all you'll hear is crickets.
I wonder at times where all this took the turn it has. Was it with laws or ?
go figure!

5. Would putting a "NO GUARD DOG IN THIS HOUSE", please you? Not hardly!.... |
|
The whole point is that this is just a gun owners justification for packing around a gun, and nothing more.
I don't need a gun and, unless you go hunting, neither do you!
And certainly not a handgun, even then.

6. I doubt you "need" to post your political views on the Internet |
|
Edited on Tue Apr-08-08 03:14 AM by friendly_iconoclast
...nor do I "need" to.
But we have the right to do so, and that right should not be infringed because we are not using quill pens or Gutenberg-type printing presses to promulgate our views to the wider world.
Yes, government has (and probably will again, sooner or later) attempted to ensure "dangerous" speech is prohibited.
The Alien and Sedition Acts are a stain on the record of the otherwise admirable John Adams.
Just as the First Amendment lacks an exemption for "unless the speech is something the Executive Branch finds objectionable", the Second Amendment lacks "unless the arms are handguns or not used for hunting."

4. Just recently I posted that police need to leave their guns at the station house |
|
and this is just more proof of that.
There are lots of people who don't need to be packing a gun and the police are some of them, thats for damn sure.
I hope these @$$-clowns get prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

I had to pass a Federal background check, a state background check, have my prints run by the FBI, pass a mental health records check, take a class on self-defense law using a state-issued curriculum, pass a written test on same administered by the sheriff's office, and demonstrate competence with a handgun on a shooting range, life fire. Yet you still wish to take guns from me.
You can already take guns from the truly disturbed, under existing law. It just requires due process, which a lot of gun controllers apparently don't like.
