Police Chief Supports US Supreme Court Ruling
Police Chief Supports US Supreme Court Ruling
Fri, Jun 27, 2008. 07:11 PM

By: Elizabeth Choi

Zanesville's Chief of Police says he supports the US Supreme Court's ruling this week, declaring a Washington DC gun ban unconstitutional.

"To those criminals that carry guns, they're going to carry them whether the law says they can or not. It's going to keep guns in the hands of honest citizens," says Police Chief Eric Lambes.

According to Chief Lambes, a gun may have been what saved a business clerk's life earlier this week in another city.

"He pulled out his gun and stopped the robbery and held the man until the police arrived," says Chief Lambes.

1. A lot of people can't seem to get past the criminal vs law abiding citizen.
It's as if they believe a gun is all that separates the civilized from the savage. I own firearms & I get angry from time to time. I have never thought of resolving my anger by shooting anyone. I will shoot someone if my life is at risk though. I have never thought of shooting anyone in order to steal from them. I will shoot someone if they threaten my life in order to steal from me.
I obey the law. My right to keep arms in defense of myself & my community shall not be infringed. It says so in the bill of rights, the justices confirmed the right, case closed. I look forward to the day that the gun dungeon is closed or merged with the outdoor life forum. It is now a non-issue.
