Rev. Jesse Jackson on the Courts Decision
http://cbs2chicago.com/local/rev.jesse.jackson.2.759206.html

"Jackson called the Supreme Court's ruling of the District of Columbia's handgun ban as unconstitutional a "reckless interpretation of the Second Amendment" -- and one that Chicago doesn't have to accept."

We do not know yet if it will be incorporated but if it is, Sorry Rev, you will have to accept it

1. I remember his
editorial in the Sun Times, DC citizens safer without guns. I thought when I read it that he had lost his mind, now I'm certain.

2. Perhaps Chicago could succeed from the union...
Of course, having no weapons the residents might find it difficult to resist the U.S. army.

3. I like that, " Chicago could succeed from the union". It certainly isn't succeeding now.
I understand your point, I'm just  at a Freudian type slip that I might make.

5. you must be joking
seriously

but if you are not...here we go

now with the supreme court ruling guns can't be banned- doesnt matter if you believe they must or Al "anti-semite" sharpton says

second it is obvious that you havent read the decision nor know the laws of the united states regarding possession of firearms by certain classes of people

i will be willing to have a debate with you when you have actually well thought out ideas with evidence to back them up- right now your arguement is one that a 6th grader it mock trial could tear apart

7. Please
Rules at DU prohibit -I think- name calling... like "troll". But with all of 1 post under your belt your post seems designed as more flamebait and less thought provoking.

Good luck kiddo.

8. Jessie Jackson has no clue to a solution
He can, as many gungrabbers do, constantly vent and rant "gunban gunban gunban".....but just as the rest of the antis, he has no clue as to how to get existing guns out've the hands of criminals.

Sure, gungrabbers can get and keep them from law-abiding citizens, but those folks are not the problem. The problem is the criminal sitting on his couch right this very minute in possession of a firearm.

What is Jackson's solution for that?

Brady's solution?

Anyone's solution?

Great, you confiscate every last firearm from every last law-abiding citizen. Feel free to explain your plan for taking them from the criminals.

9. You are out of touch with reality. This is why...
Guns have been banned in D.C. since 1976, and the murder rate did nothing but go up. It was everything you wanted, and it didn't work. The proof that gun control doesn't work is right in front of you. Black youths cannot buy guns in gun stores, there are age restrictions and criminal and mental background checks. Your "rampant killings" aren't because law abiding citizens have the right to buy guns. Black youths killing each other is caused by bad parenting. In America, it's always everything except bad parenting that gets blamed. You need to look into the problem a little deeper.
