1. My husband has been a hunter all his life, as was his entire family,
and when I told him about Sarah offering $150 for each left front paw of a wolf, he called her .......

No I won't post what he actually said, but it sure turned HIM off.

2. Interesting ad but the issue that concerns gun-owners is self-defense, a point that Obama has not
yet acknowledged because he keeps giving hunting a dominant position in his declarations of support for the Second Amendment.

3. It seems Palin is a "dominionist hunter," not really about guns...
Since 80% of gun owners do not hunt, this is not a direct impact on gun issues. Perhaps this should be posted in "outdoors."

I have seen a similar question posted in GD (about wolf-hunting), and it brought out some very shrill comments from anti-hunters. I have no objection to discussion of this issue, but some liberal Democrats should be careful about how they frame their culture wars; years of getting beat down by the GOP has made them into folks who don't cuss very well, esp. in public.

4. Hunting issues are intertwined with gun issues.
They are intertwined around the issues of freedom and rights. That's why I think it's a fair question.

7. This particular add hurts Obama...
IMHO even if it is just.

The footage from that ad are from a movie I saw long ago. I can't remember the source, or if it was an over-dramatized nature movie, or if it's strictly out of context... but I'm pretty sure it was lifted.

Basically, the ad has problems.

8. Meh, preaching to the choir
Those that already dislike palin will continue to dislike her, the nutbags that do like her will continue to do so all the while whining about the "liberal media."

9. I think the video would be more informative if it explained why
people hunt the wolves like this.

10. All it's going to do is reinforce the polarization that's already in place
No net effect on the outcome of the election IMO.
