another bunch of fear-mongering |
|
I am very pro-gun but this is a pet peeve of mine. Ever since obama won the election all i have been hearing is "obama is going to ban our guns". I understand that he may not be an NRA poster boy, but come on, hes smart enough not to get into this fight with all the issues that our country is facing..here is the article http://www.expertclick.com/NewsReleaseWire/default.cfm?Action=ReleaseDetail&ID=25069

1. "he's smart enough not to get into this fight " |
|
You make it sound like he is motivated to do it, just smart enough to resist the temptation.

who respects the constitution and who can understand political reality
i dont know many people who would want to squander precious political capital on a venture that would secure few new voters, cost the party seats, and not significantly benefit society

There will be an AWB bill sure as shit.
The President will just have to sign his name (if it passes).

7. And who did you hear it from? |
|
Ever since obama won the election all i have been hearing is "obama is going to ban our guns".
Since two of the parties you are hearing it from is the Democratic Party (it is in their published platform) and from President Obama himself (it was and is in his urban policy on www.change.gov and www.whitehouse.gov), why are you surprised that other people also say this?
It's published policy agenda.

8. Ammo supplies are getting frustrating. |
|
Couldn't get any .45 ACP in less than 230 grain for the range last sunday. Total run on ammo, and it's completely driven by fear mongering. Even the gun counter guys at Joe's were sarcastic about it. The ammo stamping bill has been introduced before, has died before, will probably never fly, and if it did, all that stockpiled pre-stamped ammo would have to be used or destroyed in fairly short order.
Pretty bad when the people selling goods are calling their own customers reactionary, alarmist fools.
