Learned a long time ago that there was some sort of civil war, aka thw war between the states, from 1861-1865 in the USA. But since I went to public schools, maybe the lessons were all wrong. They also said that George Washington was the first president, that two fellas named Lewis and Clark explored and opened up the American west, and there was a Great Depression in the 1930's. I know the last fact is true because my parents lived through it.
