Four years after Katrina NOPD finally investigated
Four years after Hurricane Katrina wreaked havoc on the City of New Orleans, leaving anarchy in its wake, the Department of Justice is reportedly putting on a full court press investigation of the police in that city, with the main focus being on two shooting incidents that left three people dead.

1. New Orleans Police
have long had a reputation for corruption and nasty shit since LONG before katrina.

and i say that AS a cop. terrible agency.

fwiw, they have historically been paid ABSURDLY low salaries, which only adds to the incentive for corruption.

2. NOLA
Also has a horrible reputation as far as RKBA goes. It too, has no connection to Katrina

I lived down south for a while in the late 80's and they did have a generally low pay scale but the cost of living was low too

4. I know of some town cops that get paid..
Minimum wage....NO BS...

The town cops in the county seat, where I live, only make about 17,000 a year.

That is a huge part of the reason you end up with corrupt cops.

5. Yes, but
