Attempted burglar shot to death

(WHAS11)-It was a deadly Christmas night outside of Louisville.

Kentucky State Police say a suspected burglar was shot to death in Adair County.

Police say 35 year old Bobby Bunch was trying to break into a residence on Cane Valley road, when he was shot to death. Police have not said who pulled the trigger.

No arrests have been made.

2. Just adopt the death penalty for burglary and be done with it.
Why fart around?

3. Do you really not see the difference between self-defense and the death-penalty?
By the act of breaking into an occupied residence the burglar puts the resident in realistic fear for his life. So the resident chooses to defend himself instead of trusting to the tender mercies of a violent felon. If the burglar dies then the fault is the burglar's for creating the situation.

What self defense measures would you allow a resident to take if they see someone breaking into their home? You never have answered that question, although it has been asked of you many times.

7. False equivalence
using lethal force to stop a person in your home who has less than pure intentions and is possibly armed is not the same as executing someone who is in handcuffs and is not an immediate threat.

Like saying if it is acceptable to shove someone out of the way of a moving car then logically it must be acceptable to shove someone for any reason.

9. Or we could take the sharesunited way:
Helping the felon load your possessions into his vehicle and then giving him a nice back-rub.

11. A back rub! That is over the top!
I will help him load my stuff, but I will not give him a back rub.

15. Sorry for the confusion. I listed it as Louisville because I figured that ...
would be the closest big city that folks would know. Hardly anybody knows where Adair county, KY, is.

16. Yup. Brain fart.
And I only live 45 miles from downtown Louisville. For some reason I put Adair County in Oldham County's spot on the map. Go figure.

Getting old is a bitch.
