Deputies: Wounded NW Harris Co. bank robber had fake gun
Play stupid games.........

http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/hotstories/6824454.html

A suspected bank robber was apparently packing a fake gun when he pointed it at an off-duty Harris County sheriff's deputy, who then shot and wounded him last week.

*

Investigators said that Deputy R. Smith, a 19-year sheriff's office veteran, was working an extra job as a security guard at the bank when the man came inside.

He ordered the man to stop and drop what the deputy thought was a gun. But the man refused and turned toward the lawman with the phony weapon in his hand.

8. In New York City, they are.
Toy guns are illegal in NYC, and the penalty for any store found selling one--to anyone, not just to a kid--is $5000 for the first offense. Ostensibly it's to keep kids safe from gun violence--which is code for being shot by the NYPD for having a gun-shaped object. I suppose it never occurred to them to simply ask the police to stop randomly shooting children at play.

3. Some folks are just slow learners
The robber gets shot twice, each time being given the opportunity to not get shot.

Stupid is as stupid does....

5. Pointless conjecture and useless anectdotes
Until you breech balling Hoppe's heads can come up with a valid study supporting your claims , fake guns are statistically safer to carry secretly, hidden under your arm .

Carry on dying .
