McDonald 14th Amendment Case Information
Does anyone know of someone who will be live-blogging the McDonald case tomorrow?

I seem to remember following a live blog of Heller, but can't remember who did it. The likely suspects, scotusblog.com and volokh.com haven't said that they are going to live-blog it, at least not that I've seen.

I would love to get the questions and arguments in near real time.

2. Yeah, they're likely suspects to liveblog,
it's just that I expected to see an announcement: "Ms. X will be liveblogging the McDonald case tomorrow..." or the like. The lack of the announcement made me nervous, but I guess I'll just have to look at the likely sources in the hour leading up to the big event.

4. No Audio--dissapointing.

No audio release on McDonald
Lyle Denniston | Monday, March 1st, 2010 4:02 pm

The Supreme Court has refused a request by cable and other broadcast networks to release on Tuesday the audiotape of the Court’s hearing in the Second Amendment case, McDonald, et al., v. Chicago, et al. (08-1521). The refusal was conveyed to the networks by the Court, but no document was released on it. The Court has released promptly the audiotape on only one case during recent months — the Citizens United v. FEC case, heard in September before the current Term opened. Under current policy, the written transcript of Tuesday’s argument will be released later in the day. The argument is scheduled for one hour, starting at 10 a.m.

I enjoyed listening to Heller.

5. That sucks.
This may be one of the most important cases in history. The Court has the opportunity to overturn some particularly odious precedents, rulings designed to help KKK terrorists and perpetuate racist oppression.

6. WTH?
I really enjoyed listening to Heller also. I just assumed there would be an audio transcript released tomorrow, and was really looking forward to hearing the justices mix it up with the lawyers, especially regarding the P&I issue.

Bah!

What's the "P&I" issue? Some legal concept?

Edit: Nevermind, Privileges and Immunities, right?

9. Yup, I espect a brawl..
.. not about the core finding (incorporation, striking down Chitown's ban), but on which grounds.

P&I terrifies conservatives and liberals alike, for wildly different reasons. But if you read the congressional debate surrounding the 14th amendment, their intent couldn't be clearer.

10. It sounds like audio might still come out, just later.
At least that's the way I read it:

The Supreme Court has refused a request by cable and other broadcast networks to release on Tuesday the audiotape of the Court’s hearing in the Second Amendment case, McDonald, et al., v.
