Albany elementary school teacher shot and killed by Amherst homeowner (Misleading headline)
The headline should be:

Unknown intruder shot by homeowner turns out to be a teacher

AMHERST -- The Amherst Police Department is investigating a shooting that killed a well known and popular Albany school district teacher. David W. Park was a fifth grade teacher and Arbor Hill Elementary School.

Amherst Police responded to a call early Sunday morning for an unknown intruder at an Amherst home. Upon arrival, police found Park suffering from a gunshot wound. Police say Park somehow got into the home and after a verbal exchange with the homeowner, Park was shot by that homeowner.

Ambulance crews transported Park to Millard Suburban Hospital where he later died. The homeowner was questioned by police, but no charges have been filed. The investigation is continuing.

1. Well, the teacher was teaching
And the lesson was, "Don't enter someone's house without permission, fool." Which by now, should be elementary.

2. not enough information in the story
Does not sound like typical dirtbag, bad actor that needs to be stopped before he steals and kills again.

"Police say Park was visiting friends and family in the Amherst area. The Albany City School District released a statement expressing grief and sorrow at the loss. According to district spokesperson Ron Lesko, Park was loved by students and peers alike. In 2009 Park was awarded the Founders Day award for excellence in the classroom.
David Park also coached the school's basketball team and was a Little League baseball coach, according to the district statement.

"David Park was a loved and respected teacher with a strong commitment to his students and their families. Our hearts go out to his family at this difficult time, especially to his sister, who is also a member of our school community," said Superintendent Raymond Colucciello."

3. WOW, talk about a loaded headline. Does anyone know if the person
responsible for the headline is a member of a gun control group?
