Georgia expands gun rights
Taken from a roundup of legislative actions.

"- Georgia lawmakers voted to back a sweeping gun rights expansion, approving a measure that would allow permit-holders to carry guns into some bars and the parking lots of colleges, courthouses, airports and jails. The measure, which was approved by both chambers in the final hour of the 40-day legislative session, comes days after a bipartisan group of legislators adopted a separate proposal that allows gun owners to carry their firearms into parts of airports throughout the state."

5. I actually talked to my GA rep and senator about these bills on the phone.

And they are both Democrats and they heard about how important it was for me (a democrat in their districts) to see them vote for the bills.

They heard me. They voted accordingly.

I watched this bill pass the Senate live. The opposing senators had nothing to offer but fear mongering (and lame fear mongering at that).

8. Not expanding, restoring
The laws as they are today are a result of about 100 years of degradation of Second Amendment rights.
