PBS - New show "Need to Know", tackling gun control next week
Now that Bill Moyers is gone (for the most part, I'll miss him), he'll be replaced with this new TV show, "Need to Know".

One of the first issues they'll be tackling is gun control.

Their website is going live on PBS on Monday, but the show itself will be on next week on Friday at 7:30 central time (I'm in TX).

Judging from Bill's anti-gun stand from previous shows, I'm wondering if these guys will continue proposing their "we need more "reasonable" gun control" mantra.

To some of us, who could forget Bill's opinions on the Second Amendment last time:

In a brief teaser, one reporter prefaces a question to a gun owner by saying something like "I understand gun rights"...yeah, right...

Here's another teaser:

Bill will be missed, but I guess it was about time for the next generation to step up. I'll be watching "Need to Know", they have an awesome legacy behind them in Bill Moyers.

See ya around Bill....we don't always agreed on issues (thankfully we mostly DID agree)...but you'll surely be missed...

All the best.

Xela

1. I realize you put this in the gungeon because of your opinion of Bill Moyers views on guns
but I just have to say that PBS really fucked up by attempting to replace Moyers with some corporate media puke like Jonathan Meacham. PBS is supposed to be the alternative to that bullshit, but it seems they (along with NPR) are becoming part of the problem.

2. The fact that they're interviewing Frank Luntz..
..tells me about all I need to know. Blech.

4. Bill Moyers was one of the last reasons I tuned in to PBS - he's
irreplaceable. From what I've heard of the 'new' show, my Fridays will now be tv-less.
