Gun safety should be taught in public schools.
The man was obviously not properly trained in gun safety rule #4 - Be sure of your target and what is beyond it.

I do believe it is the first time I ever heard of anyone killing someone else after they committed suicide. In every other similar case of murder suicide I've ever heard about the guy shot his wife first, then himself

All firearms in civilian hands are evil. Therefore strict gun control measures must be passed to ensure that they don't fall into the hands of criminals. In order to ensure that we need to disarm all law abiding citizens who own firearms.
