China bans guns, so why do massacres keep happening?
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100804/ap_on_re_as/as_china_students_attacked

BEIJING – A man wielding a knife killed three children and a teacher in a kindergarten in eastern China, residents said Wednesday as the government muted information in a bid to allay public fears and forestall more school attacks.

The delay in releasing information by officials and state media is part of a government attempt to discourage copycat killers and assuage fears over a series of school attacks this year that have caused dozens of deaths and wounded scores.

Online postings about the attack were deleted by midafternoon Wednesday by government censors who police the Internet for material considered politically sensitive.

You can keep guns away from the crazies, but how do you stop them from being crazy in the first place? Maybe the problem runs deeper than the weapon of choice used?

1. Well, that just means we need to "strengthen" the existing laws
You know, with more "common sense" gun laws.

If the police could just be allowed to kick down the doors of all private residences to look for guns (without being bothered by those pesky search warrants) then this problem would be solved.

Yes, this is sarcasm.

2. Yeah, and maybe all police could be "required" to tase suspicious looking people.

That would 'control' the crazies.

Look for Arizona to be the leader in this.

Because there isn't enough violence the world.

:banghead:

And for the sarcasm-impaired:

4. I am certain the Chinese crazies get all their guns from the US...
If there were no guns in the world, people would kill other people with knives, rocks, cars or hands or what ever means was handy. They did it for millions of years before guns ever existed, and will continue to do so till ther are no more humans left.

6. They don't
These news reports are fiction created by the dreaded NRA to fool you gun "enthusiasts" into thinking that murder is possible without guns. It isn't.

The Chinese regard such fiction as trifling libel--beneath their dignity to refute. They would lose face if they acknowledged it in any way. So the NRA agents (who have infiltrated every US media outlet) get away with these gross and depraved falsehoods.

In real China, as in all countries with strict gun control, there is peace and harmony. People die of old age after happy and fulfilling lives. Occasionally, there is an accidental death, but that is an anomaly--once again, no guns.

Yahoo should purge itself of infiltrators.

15. You're funny
The NRA was founded in 1871. Do you really think they aren't aware of people like you? They've long since made back more than whatever they spent on you and laughed all the way to the bank.

I'd love to buy you for what you know and sell you for what you think you know. I could retire.

18. Your name on thier membership rolls
is worth more than you may have cost them in bulk mail Einstein. Do you really think you are the first person to sign up just to see what it's like? You are, at best, a smidgin of overhead.

The MBA's that work for the NRA know more about it than you ever dreamed of. Why don't you go buy some gas from BP and strike a blow for green energy?

19. LOL.....
I buy addresses all the time and they are not that expensive. They sell them by the thousand. For MANY marketing reasons.

They have spent $42 so far sending me stuff through FedEx that I have asked for. I can guarantee that they cannot sell my name and address for $27. I got the $27 number by subtracting $15 from $42, since I am sure you were confused!

And my MBA is as good as anyone working at the damn NRA!

You need to think more before posting. I did the same thing when I was young.

You are taking money away from the following:
Women's Firearms Programs
Wildlife Conservation
Law Enforcement Training
Scholarships
Firearms Training
Youth Programs
Etc...

Since 1990 the NRA has awarded 1,289 grants totaling $5,579,002 to state wildlife agencies and other conservation groups. Of course, minus the money you are costing them.

Remember, not one little penny of the money you sent them or claim you are costing them is taking any money away from any political candidate. Not even the most tiny fraction of money that you sent is used to endorse or support any political candidate. In order for you to do that, you will have to work out a way to fraud their PVF funds. I would advise against your mail fraud idea.
