Police officers involved in killing of mayor in Monterrey |
|
http://www.ww4report.com/node/8968This is two months old. I wonder how wise it is to setup a society where badges make you into the only person allowed to possess a firearm. Oh, also lots of money and political connection can get you a legal gun as well.

Gun laws in Mexico are quite loose. You're not making any sense.

5. You are correct that it is in their Constitution... |
|
but it has been ignored legislatively and in practice for a good long time. As previously stated, do some remedial research.

8. Wrong, there is no right to bear arms in their constitution, only a privilege |
|
“The inhabitants of the United Mexican States have the right to possess arms in their homes for their security and legitimate defense with the exception of those prohibited by federal law and of those reserved for the exclusive use of the Army, Navy, Air Force, and National Guard. Federal law shall determine the cases, conditions and place in which the inhabitants may be authorized to bear arms.”
Read that last sentence, no they are not in violation of their constitution. Their own constitution is corrupt garbage. "You have the right to bear arms but we will determine if, what type, how many (which may be zero) firearms you can own and you can't own military weapons (so if we just make all firearms military we can ban them all)" is a paraphrase.
It would be like saying you have freedom of religion but we will determine which religions you can follow if any. Duhhh, that is not a right just as Mexicans do not have a right to bear arms.

10. The article didn't mention the role of .50 caliber machine guns... |
|
...from the article cited in this thread:
"Mexico's 1917 constitution gave citizens the right to bear arms 'except those expressly prohibited by law.' But after student protesters looted Mexico City gun stores during uprisings in the 1960s, the Mexican government began to clamp down on gun owners. By 1995, the government had closed the last gun stores and given the military a monopoly on gun sales."
And if one remembers correctly, those "uprisings" were all right-wing tea-party activists-in-waiting, inhabiting the universities and secret rosters of the Communist Party. Really.
On a more serious note, the article didn't mention that these heathens were mowed down by .50 caliber machine guns. I wonder who had those. And I wonder if those looted gun stores came before or after the machine gunnings.
God, they banned guns to blacks, Italians, Irish in the U.S., then students in Mexico. Who'd thunk they would find a new Other to go after when banning guns.
