Man shot in head, 2 others wounded in separate shootings
A man was shot in the head and critically wounded Monday night in the city's Gage Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side. Two other men also were wounded in a separate shooting in the West Pullman neighborhood on the city's Far South Side.

About 9:50 p.m., a 20-year-old man was shot in the head on the 3100 block of West 59th Street, police said.

Preliminary reports stated the victim was walking on the sidewalk with a friend when they were approached by two males who opened fire. The victim was taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital with a gunshot wound to the head.

Twenty minutes earlier, two other men were shot on the 12000 block of South Lafayette Avenue, said Police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro.

1. 82 Americans die every day from guns. And more than 200 are injured.
Every single fucking day. There are 90 guns for every 100 Americans.

This country is insane. And it's never, ever, ever going to get better.

2. Oh you just wait.
When everyone has a gun (or two), we'll be safe.

4. I'm starting to feel bad for the 'other' victims.
Not trying to make you a the bad guy but, seems Gabby, Christina and the Judge are being given more value than the older folks and the young man who was to be married next year.

My heart breaks for all of them and their families. Also feeling great pain for Jared's parents. I can't imagine what they must feel like.

Such a terribly sad, senseless event. :grouphug: I think we could all use one.
