Not that I'm going to, or even attempt it, mind you. Or have someone do it for me, as described below.

I mean, if Michael "Bring back Patronage" Bloomberg, mayor of New York City can have guys do it for him (in two different states,

yet) and not get charged with a federal felony, shouldn't we all be able to do it?:

New York City Investigates Arizona Gun Show
Source: NY Times

PHOENIX — Weeks after a shooting left six dead and 13 injured in Tucson, New York City sent undercover investigators to an Arizona gun show and found instances in which private sellers sold semiautomatic pistols even after buyers said they probably could not pass background checks, city officials said.....

.....In two instances, the New York undercover officers specifically said before buying a gun, “I probably couldn’t pass a background check,” but were still sold guns, city officials said...

That's a RICO felony right there. So if Bloomie can do it on multiple occasions and not be charged, why not me? Or you? Or anyone?

I guess we could all claim "It's for the children!" (or something similar) if we get busted. It worked for Bloomberg, didn't it?

1. Setting up people to commit crimes that they were not
already about to commit (criminalizing often innocent people) seems to be the major purpose of law enforcement now.

It is much easier to manufacture criminals than it is to go out and find them.

It is much easier to find evidence that someone broke the law when you manufactured the time and place of the crime, than it is to do any actual investigations of any real crimes to find criminals and track down evidence that isn't right under their nose.

Why bother to do the hard work of actually being a police officer or a detective when it is much, much easier to make it legal to create crimes and entrap people?

This is just part and parcel of the growing corruption rotting the entire culture of law enforcement. :(

5. The un-reccers may not like it because it's bashing an anti-gun public figure...
... but Mayor Bloomberg and his officers are way out of line here. He's being about as blatant as key members of BushCo is.

7. Some of them want to see gun ownership virtually abolished by any means necessary
They want peace and a safe society, which is a fine and laudable goal.

But the ends do not justify the means.

8. One of the survivors
of the Virginia Tech shootings did basically the same thing, his was in conjuction with the Brady Bunch and one of those news shows, 60 Minutes, Nightline or one of those. I guess if you are doing it for a cause it's ok and won't be charged.
