Arizona: Pistol Packer's Paradise? |
|
I was in Tucson a few weeks ago and kept a moderate lookout for anyone carrying. I was there for a week and didn't see a single gun. Not one.

1. Tucson is a lot less redneck than the rest of the state. |
|
It's a bit of a blue island.

4. There is a reason they call it 'concealed carry.' |
|
But it becomes very unconcealed when you get shot.

I prefer concealed carry for any number of reasons that would you would probably find tedious. But concealed carry does not necessarily mean hidden. More specifically, it means little more than not visible to the casual observer depending on any number of factors that you would probably also find tedious.
Arizona and it's gun laws have been in the news lately and that notoriety might have people believing that everyone in the state has a gun on their hip. Actually, my understanding is that the number of gun owners who actually carry a firearm in public is pretty small.

not because one wacko went wacko, but because it has been recently shown that private sellers in Arizona sell guns to people who expressly tell them that they could not pass any background check.
The gungoen doesn't care about that, not one bit...the gungeon is more focused on how many guns they can see on a stroll through Tucson.

10. You probably did see a few people who were carrying concealed and doing it right |
|
I doubt that even 1% of the population in Tucson carries a gun.

13. It is harder to spot than many think |
|
Look for behaviors first. Makes it and easier read. If you carry like I do, you also learn what rigs look like when concealed which helps spotting them
