Poll question: which is more accurate, the systematic method of background check or the sheriffs eyeball and opinio...
What do you trust more? Shall issue using a systematic system of background checks

May issue where a sheriff or other individual can decide if you get a permit, perhaps depending on how much bribe money you're willing to offer up or depending on if they are on the "correct" political side or depending on if they like the "correct" football team or purhaps if you are a family member or friend of the shariff or maybe the shariff will do what's right and give a "deserving" person the permit based on what the shariff thinks is "deserving".

7. May-issue may be appropriate in Mayberry, where the Sheriff knows everyone personally
Most of us don't live in Mayberry.
