92FS owners - what if anything did you do in the way of cleaning

before firing for the first time? I have read that the shipping grease on the slide is heavy and interferes with the slide action, and that the slide should be cleaned off and oiled before first use.

It helps you to become familiar with your new weapon. Don't go hog wild, a gun smith once told me that more people damage their firearm by cleaning it rather than shooting it.
