5. Naw, it's just that some people confuse "civilization" with arrogance
Edited on Fri Apr-08-11 09:41 AM by DonP
They think their personal view of life and view what makes someone civil, makes them better, smarter, and higher on the evolutionary chain whatever than the rest of you poor slobs.

You see this most often from people in gated communities that keep the riff raff at a distance, or many who just know they are made of better stuff than the rest of you primitives. Typically they have never had to deal with street crime, or their primary defense in case of a personal attack is to drop to their knees and cry "Not in the face, not in the face" repeatedly.

16. It is a loblolly!
Thunderstorms and rain most of the day so far. Which is great for the night fire session tonight, there won't be any fire risk from the tracers. Made some good deals on ammo. Picked up some spare parts for various Form 4 toys.

Good day to have four wheel drive and a chain, lots of folks are going to be stuck in the lower parking lot.

10. Jerry Brown has a long history of being reasonable on guns. It makes Republican heads explode...
...when you point out the fact that during his first terms he never signed a restrictive gun bill.

California's handgun registration started in 1968 under Reagan.

The first part of Cali's "AW" ban was signed by another Republican governor, George Deukmejian.

Gray Davis did enact the rest of the AW law and a few others, and Governator signed a couple of really bad ones.
