One killed, eight wounded in birthday party shooting

Chester, Pa. - April 9, 2011 (WPVI) -- A celebration of life in Chester ended with a shocking crime. Nine people were shot inside Minaret Temple 174, at Fourth and Ward Streets, according to police.

One of the victims was pronounced dead. Action News has learned that the person killed was a 19-year-old man.

All of the other victims are teens, sources say. They are hospitalized at Crozer Chester Medical Center. Police say two of the survivors are listed in critical condition, and the others are listed in stable condition.
