...that the anti-gun strategy of going after gun makers with nuisance lawsuits is much like Ronald Raegan's method of dealing with the old Soviet Union.

RR used our financial muscle to defeat the Soviets in the 80s. By forcing them to spend so much money trying to keep up with us he forced them into bankruptcy.

I have heard it compared to tobacco industry. There is no evidence the gun industry has intentionally lied about the nature of their products.

If this is done, what about autos and traffic deaths? It is a scary precedent for some blinded by their own passions.
