I suppose it's accurate to say the physics of killing a human can be facilitated by a gun, but only if one is inclined to kill in the first place. Every day I find myself in dozens or maybe hundreds of opportunities to kill people while I happen to have the means in my hands, but I don't do it mainly because it would be wrong. If I didn't have a deep moral conviction that killing was wrong I probably would have done so decades ago with or without a gun. I assure you that me with a gun is no more of a threat to you than me without one. To qualify to be killed by me you'd have to work very hard to make yourself a threat that I couldn't address without killing.
People were killed in large numbers before the invention of the gun, and those who did so didn't have much trouble accomplishing the deed. Maybe the gun has made it a little easier for those not blessed with superior physical strength to kill, but the lack of a sense of right vs. wrong hasn't changed since the Dark Ages.
No, killing is always hard for any person of normal values to do. The mechanics are only a very small part of what makes a killing happen. Stopping people from killing is much more complicated and much more difficult than trying to restrict the kinds of tools they can obtain and pretending you've solved a problem that's as old as humanity. No historical evidence exists to show that gun control reduces murder rates.

They *do* fall from the sky! No point in trying to control access to them at the source, obviously.

guy with the less votes to win. Oh, I forgot the Iraqis are armed to the teeth with those wonderful freedom fighting AK-47's and they're still losing. You guys keep telling me they can't lose if they have guns, but TV tells me something different. And don't forget about the at least hundreds of half years of biological genocide by depleted uranium. All because our obsolete out control because it was highjacked by the NRA, corporations and plutocrats, Constitution allowed the guy with the lesser votes to win. So if you're going to brag up the Constitution, take credit for Iraq, 9-11, no national healthcare, the blurring of church and state, etc.

Kind of ironic. Must not be a very important right if AssKKKRack isn't threatened.

So I'm not sure where you are getting this notion that he is a supporter of gun rights.
But hey, he's your buddy with you wanting him to have more power and all, so I guess you know him better than I do.

Those particular Islamists are doing to us exactly what the Afghani "freedom fighters" (really a bunch of Islamist fanatics that Ronny Raygun armed) did to the Soviets, what the Vietcong did to the French and later to us: Kill with a hundred thousand paper cuts.
We are in the Iraqi quicksand because some ideologues (Neocons and Fundies) drank the kool aid and hijacked our country.
The argument has nothing to do with the virtues (or rather lack thereof of domestic firearms prohibition).
Edited for clarity.

America has the major industrialized nation's weakest gun laws. And you (The NRA=GOA and it's fellow travelers collective is you) want to have even less.

Prosecute the laws that are on the books now, before passing anymore "Feel Good" laws that do absolutely nothing. The AWB is a good example of a solution in search of a problem!
