I'm not a fan of US TV news so I tune into the Canadian stations. It was something I saw as Canadian TV political ads. One Liberal party ad indicated their dissatisfaction w/the Conservative plan to scrap the national gun registry. The Conservative ad indicated that $2M was spent without impact on the crime rate. I was hoping to find non-TV references. In the US I've never seen pro-anti gun TV commercials in a national election.

Gun Control and the 2$Billion dollar (yep that's billion) Gun Registration fiasco are front and center on this race. The conservative party may get in because the liberal party (in power) insisted on punishing law abiding gun owners.

wasn't the most accurate representation of what's going on in the Canadian election, eh? Two TV attack ads, both containing brief mentions of the other party's position on an issue ...

The Auditor General of Canada is by definition unbiased.

(The sponsorship scandal, which is is what people are *really* peeved about this election (i.e. both genuinely peeved about, as compared to the trumped up outrage over the firearms registry, and very peeved about, as compared to the faint whining heard about the firearms registry, was uncovered by the OAG.)

14. Yes, terrorists are going to kick a lot of ass with a single-shot gun

the size of a vacuum cleaner. Plenty of metal parts, so it'd be easy to get it on an airplane. And the reliability of the firing mechanism makes it very nearly fifty-fifty that he might get that one shot off before having the "gun" rammed up his butt, rather than afterwards.
