QUESTION: Will the Red Car Ban Sunset make the roads safer?
In response to the nearly 2 million auto accident-related injuries in the United States each year, the government has decided to extend an immediate ban on the manufacture of all red cars. While the color of the car itself has no direct bearing on how fast or powerful the car might be, excessively fast and dangerous sports cars tend to be red in color. So therefore, banning all red cars will take a significant portion of these "extra lethal" cars off the road.

Now my question. Assuming this ban on red cars is put into place, can any of you prove that getting rid of this ban will make our roads safer?

Discuss.

5. We need to renew and strengthen the ban to include blue cars.
The scummy auto industry skirted this ban by making their fast, powerful sports cars in colors other than red. We need to close the loophole.

7. Quite frankly, Red cars scare me.....
The owners are usually overcompensating for small genitalia and are dangerous. At a light I am afraid they will try to race me and cause a wreck. Plus they usually have those "euro-pipes" on them and it makes it scary sounding. Why, one day I might fall victim to a Red car, nobody needs a red car. Henry Ford had it right with the Model T, they were all one color.

8. Two simple rules for staying out of trouble
1. Never drive a red car,

2. Never put any stickers on your car, except ones you need for military service or work.

9. Ban evil black assault cars...
with thier black paint is clearly designed to absorb radar and laser radiation so as to give any police officers a hard time clocking thier speed.

We have to do ban them, its for the children.

11. We interupt this thread to bring you some breaking news...
Tragedy struck today when two disturbed young men went on a rampage through their highschool in a Sports Utility Vehicle.

Eyewitnesses say the two youths drove the red Dodge Igotasmallphallus 28litre V8 through the halls of Formerlyanicecommunity High mowing down their terrified classmates.

Formerlyanicecommunity's police chief has confirmed that both youths have taken their own lives.

The number of casualties has not been released but it is expected to be high.

The Dodge Motor Company has released the following statement.

We at the Dodge Motor Company are saddened by the tragic events that are unfolding today in Formerlyanicecommunity. We make every effort to ensure that our products do not end up in the wrong hands. We would also like to make it clear that the front mounted debris scoop, which is commonly referred to as a "Pedestrian Sweeper", is just a cosmetic feature of the Igotasmallphallus 28litre V8.

We extend our deepest sympathy to those who suffered injury or loss today in Formerlyanicecommunity.

The American Automobile Association president, Chip Colddeadhands, has been avoiding our calls today, but his spokesman has said that the AAA intend to go ahead with their planned convention in Formerlyanicecommunity this weekend.

We can now return you to the previously scheduled thread, but we will bring you any further developments.

Director's Son Charged with Murder

Arraignment was delayed a week for a Hollywood director's son charged with four counts of murder for allegedly running down several pedestrians with his car over the weekend.

David Attias, an 18-year-old student at the University of California, Santa Barbara, was also charged Monday with 13 felony counts -- including four counts of murder and five counts of driving while under the influence and causing great bodily injury.

*snip*

Other witnesses said Attias got out of the car and shouted, "I am the angel of death." One resident videotaped dozens of students circling the driver and preventing him from leaving the scene.

*snip/more*

In fact, I think Wcross brings up an important point. We need to get a government study funded to find the least offensive/dangerous color for cars and then force the corrupt auto industry to paint all of their cars that color.

on edit: spelling

18. I disagree - I read a crack study by some gal, I think it was Mary sumthin
and she said exactly opposite - That red isn't a bad color and the govt is simply misleading you. Her research is great - and she is funded by the AAA, so you know there is no reason to believe that she is anything less than truthful.

Who ya gonna believe - your lying govt that is in the business of making your life hard just because they are lying assholes. Or sweet, young, honest, financed by the auto industry researcher Mary Lott?

19. The AAA? Those racist car loonies?
They were going to call themselves Triple K, but that was already taken. The AAA is just the lobby wing of the corrupt car industry.
