4. But NY cities have violent crime rates that exceed Houston
Edited on Sun Jan-16-05 10:39 AM by jody
Houston TX has a violent crime rate of 1,175 incidents per 100,000 while New York NY has a rate of 734.

However Buffalo NY has a rate of 1,284 and Albany NY has a rate of 1,235. If NY's policies are so good, then why are Buffalo and Albany higher than Houston?

San Antonio TX has a rate of 598, much lower than New York. Perhaps New York should adopt San Antonio's policies.

Source the FBI’s Uniform Crime Report “Crime in the United States” for 2003.
