President Abbas Consoles US President on Hurricane Katrina VictimsIPC + WAFA
September 3, 2005President Mahmoud Abbas sent a consolations telegraph to the US President George W. Bush following the deadly aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, which hit the southern coast of the United States.
President Abbas said, "we followed the results of Hurricane Katrina, which overran some areas in the United States, and we send our consolations and sympathies; we believe in your capacity to overcome this disaster."
The President gave the consolations in the name of the Palestinian people and his special supports to the president of the USA. Abbas also prayed for the mercy of the victims, and a speedy recovery for the injured and safety of catastrophes for the survivors of this disaster.
