Gaza gunmen 'abduct foreigners'

Two journalists - one from the US and the other British - have been kidnapped in the Gaza Strip, sources say.
Gunmen kidnapped the two near the volatile southern town of Khan Younis, a spokesman for the Palestinian interior ministry said.

Several foreigners recently abducted in Gaza have been released unharmed.

Palestinian security forces have been trying extend their control over Gaza after Israel withdrew its soldiers and settlers from the area in August.

Palestinian authorities say they are working to secure the journalists' release.

Two foreign journalists captured by gunmen in Gaza have been released unharmed, a spokesman for the Palestinian interior ministry said.

The two, a Briton and an American, were kidnapped on Wednesday near the volatile southern town of Khan Younis.
