GAZA, Jan. 28 (Xinhua) -- The Israeli army leadership has decided to prevent leaders of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) from traveling between Gaza Strip and West Bank, Israeli Radio reported Saturday.

The decision came following the landslide victory that was achieved by the movement in the second Palestinian parliamentary elections held on Jan. 25, Israeli security sources were quoted as saying.

The sources told the radio that the Israeli army leadership issued orders not to allow the Hamas leaders who are the new members of the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC), to transport from between Gaza Strip and west Bank.

The orders are considered the first step of the measures that the Israeli army is going to adopt against Hamas and its leaders. Hamas' landslide victory in the parliamentary elections held on Wednesday caused concerns in Israel and among foreign leaders, who urged that Hamas has to renounce violence and recognize Israel.Enditem

3. seems a muted response- will tax collections be turned over - will
US Aid stop going to the gov and be routed instead to ngo's.

I still expect both of the above to happen.

And I expect the Saudi's and Pak's and the new Iraq gov to rush money in to Hamas, as Iran/Syria rush money to Hez.

Should be interesting if Hamas does not "grow" into a peaceful government.

2. I find the Israel response very muted
Any organization that stated objective is to eliminate me or my fellow citizens would be dealt with extreme prejudice {deadly force}

Peace is a two way street. Hamas will either learn that the easy way or the hard way. It's really up to them
