Police in India arrest over 100 anti-Sharon demonstrators
http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/338480.html

Mumbai police arrested more than 100 Muslims who
were demonstrating yesterday against the visit of
Prime Minister Ariel Sharon. The arrests came amid
growing concern over possible terror attacks
targeting Sharon and his entourage, which contains
more than 100 people.

According to the Times of India,
New Delhi police forces are
keeping a close watch on some
groups of radical Palestinian
students who may try to cause
disturbances during Sharon's
three-day visit to New Delhi.

2. Yes, tied together by the mutual embrace of their...
hatred of Muslims, rabid xenophobia, religious extremism, and racism. Gandhi is spinning in his grave....

4. Perhaps it has something to do with Muslim terrorism
And nuclear threats from that Muslim neighbor.

6. So let me get this straight
you are now outright justifying hatred of Muslims because of "Muslim terrorism" and threats from a "Muslim neighbor"?

Your stereotyping and broad generalizations are getting out of control.

7. Nope, you willing misinterpret my words
But both Israel and India face a common enemy, the radical wing of Islam. That doesn't even vaguely encompass the rest of Islam, but it does control terror groups around the world from the Mideast to Kashmir.

Those same radicals have a heavy influence on nuclear-armed Pakistan which faces off with India.

9. I didn't think you would get the point
Maybe one day - I am holding out hope for you.

Let me try it from another angle: What do you think the reaction would be if someone were to bemoan about "Jewish terrorism" and the threat of the "Jewish neighbor"?

Or what about someone talking about the enemy of the "radical wing of Judaism"?

Do you think statements like those should be accepted or not.

it comes off suspect to me, it's extremely rare to hear of any of our homegrown, violent, religious fanatics called "Christian Terrorists" and no one ever called Irv Rubin or Earl Krugel "Jewish Terrorists" or implied that places where the majority of the people who share those faiths are dangerous.

Some Hindu's have come to sympathize with Israel as a side effect of Muslim's always comparing the West Bank and Gaza with Kashmir. Most Hindu's however harbor their own illusions about Kashmir and resent the comparison.
