Hamas explosives lab found
Hamas explosives lab found

Despite low profile kept by Hamas military wing since movement rose to power, underneath the surface, the terror activity continues. In a lab uncovered overnight, explosive devices and large bomb ready for use found by IDF forces

Efrat Weiss

IDF forces uncovered an explosives lab in Hebron in which an explosion took place on Friday, apparently due to a work accident by the Palestinians who assembled the device.

The lab, which was neutralized through a controlled explosion, contained a number of pipe bombs and explosives that were apparently meant
to be used against IDF forces in the city.

A check with the security forces found that the explosives lab belonged to Hamas. Three Palestinians injured in the explosion were members of the organization's military wing. An IDF source said following the incident: "This is more proof that Hamas is still dealing with terror and is preparing an infrastructure."

1. the source of this info is far from being neutral
"Palestinians attempted to hide Hamas members

Security sources said that Palestinian security forces, accompanied by Red Crescent staff, arrived at the scene of the explosion immediately after the explosion. They rapidly evacuated the injured from the scene in order to hide the fact that they were Hamas members. When IDF members arrived at the scene, the lab was found, and explosives which included a large explosives device ready for use were uncovered. "

3. Name the news sources you view as "neutral"
In any case the article I posted follows the rules of this forum. The forum rules don't require "neutral" sources because (if I may try to guess Skinner's intent and possibly be entirely wrong ) there may not be any.

8. any source is of course biased to a certain extent
but this particular one is only a propaganda piece. Not because the facts related wouldn't have happened, but for the way they are presented : the Hamas has a bomb factory and get help from the .... Palestinians...

I didn't know that the Hamas was an ethnic entity. It's obvious that the author want to imply "they are all bad" even the ones who lost the elections and were ready to negotiate...

You read exactly the same kind of stuff from the other side : "all the Israeli are bad, even the ones for peace"

I'd rather read the Haaretz, they at least try to produce decent journalism

2. So the Palestinians are not supposed to have an armed militia to
protect them against the most armed, superior, occupiers in the ME? Give me break! Why is it that the US and Israel believe that every other people should just lay down and allow them to walk all over them, bomb them, bulldoze their homes, deny them a means of working to provide for their families, tear up infrastructure that prevents decent sewage and utilities, deny them safety and security in their own lands and not be able to fight back? It's counter intuitive to believe that people will do this either in Palestine or Iraq.

6. Did you ever hear of the Hamas truce?
Edited on Sat Apr-08-06 11:03 PM by barb162
You know, the one they have been talking about for several months (below)

"Hamas leaders also confirmed a report Friday in the Israel newspaper Ha'aretz that the group is ready to extend a truce it has been observing for a year - and will pressure other militant groups to follow suit - if Israel halts attacks in the West Bank and Gaza Strip."

11. Do the pipe bombs have Hamas logos on them?
Just wondering how they know that Hamas is involved...

Also, it says the weapons were to be used against IDF forces in the city, so how is that terrorism which is what the IDF source is claiming it is?

Violet...
