because other polls show the israeli arabs by a large majority prefer the jews not be here ...

its a standing "joke in israel" that we would all prefer that the "other not be here", but were stuck with each other.(as said on many talk shows over the years....)

i've never really trusted them that much given the way they can be played with......they always vary depending on the latest incident...so if one wants to, you can probably find any percentage with any view over the years.....for anything....

Certainly how would the US do on the measures in the index?

Democracy? Google Diebold, Gove v. Bush, Katherine Harris, Ken Blackwell.

Corruption? Google Tom DeLay? Jack Abramoff? Duke Cunningham? Nye?

Perception? Compare the Conservative sites with DU?

Trust in Key Institutions? Just look at the 9/11 forums? LIHOP? MIHOP?

I am 65 years old - and the US is more divided and more deeply divided then at any time since the early 1970's We have nothing to be proud of - with an aggressive war foir resources, etc.

If you are saying that 62% of Israelis want their Muslim neighbors to emigrate -- what about the Minutemen and the Latino neighbors? Or Boston's Southies and their African-American neighbors and the Macomb County MI "REagan Democrats" and their Asian American neighbors (Vincent Chin?) and their African-American neighbors?
