<snip>

"The Israel Defense Forces entered the central Gaza Strip on Tuesday night. Palestinians reported that a Palestinian police officer was killed, another was wounded in exchanges of fire with IDF soldiers in the Dir al-Balah area.

Simultaneously, the Israel Air Force struck a two-story building in the Gaza City neighborhood of Sheikh Raduan. The building collapsed. Six bodies, including two children and two women, were recovered from the wreckage. Some 36 people were injured."

"Khaled Abu Saada, an ambulance driver, told Ynet that six bodies and 36 injured people were recovered from the wreckage. According to the reports, Dr. Nabli Abu Saleimeh, a lecturer at the Islamic University and a well known Hamas activist in the city, was killed. His wife, daughter, two sons and neighbor were also killed.

Hundreds of Palestinians gathered in the place and were asked by the rescue forces to leave the scene in order to make it easier to evacuate the injured."

1. They are terrorizing hundreds of thousands of people openly
And this will breed thousands of more recruits for Hamas and worse.

I think Israel may just want to reassert control over Gaza; there is no way such terror on such a wide scale can make anyone safer.

6. They can make it look as if they were very benevolent
by giving back something they took by force in the first place.

Why do you think they had the IDF come in and drag away the illegal settlers on TV cameras? It was one giant propoganda war. The settlers would've left as soon as the IDF stopped protecting them.

I don't agree with Palestinians attacking the IDF within their own territory, but Israel has murdered scores of people in the past year and Hamas didn't break the peace treaty until the IDF shelled a beach and killed many civilians.

3. israelis motive. As long as they can create enemies, they
can rape the US taxpayer with billions of dollar handouts and grease the palms of their willing whores in Washington.

Scam has been going on for years and no sign of it ending.

5. Hamas was supposed to replace the PLO
- - whatever group replaces Hamas will probably be even more radical.

If Israel reasserts military/prison rule in Gaza -- and perhaps repress and force Palestinians to leave -- a new group of refugees will be produced who remember their homeland.

Violence, murder and repression will not stop the violence--

8. 7 reported dead now...
http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/737324.html

"The seven dead were all members of the same family - two parents, including senior Gaza Hamas figure Dr. Nabil al-Salmiah, and their five children - Palestinian hospital officials said. Rescuers said four other people were still missing and at least 24 people were wounded."
