EU accuses Israel of 'disproportionate use of force' in Lebanon
BRUSSELS (AP) — The European Union on Thursday criticized Israel for using "disproportionate" force in its attacks on Lebanon following the cross-border raid by Hezbollah guerillas who captured two Israeli soldiers.

The EU also called Israel's naval blockade cutting off supply routes to Lebanon unjustified.

Snip

In the EU's strongest comment on the escalating violence, the statement said "actions, which are contrary to international humanitarian law, can only aggravate the vicious circle of violence and retribution, and cannot serve anyone's legitimate security interests."

It called for the immediate release of the Israeli soldiers, and urged "all countries in the region to work for the restoration of calm in order to avoid the further escalation of the situation into war."

1. Isn't Israel taking its orders from the U.S. White House, State Department
...and U.S. Commanders in Chief? In other words, Israel does not make any military moves unless and until the U.S. tells them to.

4. You're joking, right? Bush doesn't give a fuck it drives up oil prices
that's all he cares about. Remember.. he's "a war president". Now we understand what that means.. it means that wars are breaking out simultaneously around him, while he naps, plays video games, and works out.
