PLEASE HELP US.
Edited on Sat Jul-15-06 12:06 PM by umtalal
Watching the news conference of the Arab League: peace process has failed and it is over.

I have just received these pictures from Hanady Salman, an editor at As-Safir, with this message:
"Dear friends and colleagues ,
You will all have to excuse me for sending this. It's pictures of the bodies of babies killed by the israelis in South lebanon. They are all burnt. I need your help. I am almost certain these pictures won't be published in the West, although they are associated press pictures. I need your help exposing them if you can. The problem is these are people who were asked to leave
their village , Ter Hafra , this morning , within two hours , or else. ... So those who were able to flee went to the closer UN base where they were asked to leave. I think that after the Qana massacres in 1996 when civilians were bombed after they took chelter in UN headquarters , the UN does not want to be responssible for the lives of civilians.A FEW MINUTES AGO , the
Israeli asked the people of Al Bustan village in the south to evacuate their homes. I am afraid massacares will keep happening as long as Israeli actions are uncheked. Please help us if you can
Hanady Salman"

6. Real ly sad
Edited on Sat Jul-15-06 12:14 PM by ChuckyDee
These are awful tragedies, if true. They should have never occured. Unfortunately, the world stands by and does nothing as Hamas, Hizbullah, etc.., backed by Syria and Iran do their bidding against Israel, leaving Israel with no other choice than to go at it alone. Mistakes and all.

The real criminals (or at least accomplices to these atrocities) are those who sit on the sidelines condemning others for taking a stand against evil, while doing nothing themselves to curb such terror.

My heart goes out to all the innocents who will suffer or lose their lives in this war. With a more sympathetic and moral world motivated to do whatever needs to be done against the Arafats and Ahmadinejads of that region, there wouldn't be any pointing of fingers against Israel - and Israel wouldn't have to go to war alone to do what really needs to be done.

Sad indeed.

12. But this killing of innocents isn't taking a stand, or
defending oneself or contributing to a solution. Its the equivalent of if you were my neighbour and a maniac (Hamas) and you killed my child on my front lawn, my response is to murder your child.

Its morally wrong and counterproductive. What we are seeing imo is vengeance and as always the innocent suffer.

Oh and who are "The real criminals (or at least accomplices to these atrocities) are those who sit on the sidelines condemning others for taking a stand against evil, while doing nothing themselves to curb such terror." are these public commentators, people in general or are you refrering to those in positions of power EU, Russia etc?

11. Lebanon death toll mounts
Eighteen civilians, including children, were burnt alive when a helicopter gunship hit a convoy of families fleeing an offensive that has left the country almost cut off from the outside world and waking up each day to new scenes of devastation.

In an emotional televised address to the nation, Lebanese Prime Minister Fuad Siniora called for an immediate ceasefire and the end to the "collective punishment" of his country.
