Newly founded 'Army of Suicide Bombers' marches in Gaza

By Avi Issacharoff

About 100 veiled and heavily armed Palestinian women marched through the streets of Gaza City Tuesday.

The militant women belong to a unit recently founded by the Popular Resistance Committees. The 'Army of Suicidal Bombers,' as it is dubbed, consists entirely of women.

A message released by the PRC states that the objective of the new unit is to protect "Palestinian land."

The procession was led by the mother of Abu Yusuf Al-Kuka - a PRC founder assassinated by Israel two months ago. She was carrying an RPG missile launcher on her shoulder.

(Since they defaced the Arab League, EU, etc flags also, are they intending to suicide bomb there too?????)

2. I personally think they should get a bunch of reporters together
in a stadium, then--at a safe distance from the spectators--have the shahidesses demonstrate their impeccable suicide-explosive techniques. As a group.

Just to show they're serious.

In fact, perhaps they can write in their charter--surely they have a charter--that a woman must have an imam-issued suicide license. The test involves her blowing herself up in a safe location, purely as a demonstration that she's not an accidental danger to any Muslims and can navigate to her intended destination safely. Only then can she be allowed to actually target civilians.

4. Lovely
The pollyannas at DU who think all the violence is just about Israeli occupation and not about the culture of death in Palestine will no doubt blame Israel for forcing these wackos to go down this road. Ever heard of nonviolent resistance? Gandhi didn't need to train suicide bombers to drive the British out of India. I'm for a Palestinian state, but, jeez, what kind of country will emerge when this is what they're about.

5. I feel bad...
for Palestinian because of their leadership and that they are trained in this culture of death. I am for a Palestinian state as well but also wonder the same.

6. WWII Drove The British Out Of India
And for nearly 20 years during the Israeli occupation, there was almost nothing happening in the occupied territories, and what did Israel do? More occupation, fencing in and settlements. I invite anyone to live in those conditions and refrain from being radicalized.

7. I knew it!
I was just waiting for someone to excuse this. I'm sure the Indian people also would love to see your complete discounting of the role of Gandhi in their history. But, then again, rewriting history is what the Palestinians and their apologists are best at doing.

10. Pick Up A History Book, Willya?
Yes, the Gandhi movement played a huge role, but the burden of the second World War was what finally convinced the UK to withdraw from India.

I'll refrain from a blanket statement disparaging Israeli apologists.

8. You're absolutely correct.
Gandhi and Martin Luther King would be amazed at this. Non-violent protest seems to be an alien concept to certain people in the Mideast, which is very sad and is leading to many needless deaths..
