Words vs Deeds
Words:
"Their mission is to destroy Hezbollah outposts," an Israel Defense Forces spokesman told CNN early Wednesday.

Deeds:
"Israeli jets have hit central Beirut for the first time and dozens more people have been killed in continuing air attacks across south Lebanon, raising the toll there to about 295 people."

Lebanon perspective:
Lebanon's PM Siniora says 300 killed, 1,000 wounded, half-million displaced in fighting

I thought it was a good thing when Lebanon asked Syrian military to leave and they did. Now, perhaps Lebanon is rethinking their decision.

Lebanon's ambassador to the UN (or perhaps US) was on Charlie Rose's program yesterday. Pretty plain spoken person for a diplomat. He talked about how while Lebanon did not condone Hezbollah, they didn't condem them either. He said that Hezbollah was not a military organization with a large infrastructure, it is part of the general population and government.

Where is the UN in all of this?

1. A lesson in lebanese politics
Hizballa is very much a military organization with a large following in Lebanon (or what would you call those things 1000+ exploding in israel?)....the politicians have to watch what they say in case israel fails....since there might be another civil war or their car might blow up with them in it.

If you can read between the lines..or understand arabic, they're all pushing to get rid of hizballa.....
