Two killed in Katyusha rocket strikes on Haifa
Two people were killed and several others were wounded as ten Katyusha rockets slammed into Haifa and its suburbs Sunday morning.

A man was killed in Haifa when rocket shrapnel hit his vehicle while he was driving along a main road in Haifa. A second person was killed when a rocket hit a carpentry shop in a suburb of Haifa.

---

French Foreign Minister Philippe Douste-Blazy had to take cover under a stairway in Haifa when the sirens sounded.

A French embassy spokeswoman said Douste-Blazy was in a convoy of vehicles about to leave the northern city when the sirens went off.

2. I expect they will stop when the bombing stops.
The provocations have been mutual for some time. If you don't want to fight, you have to talk instead.

4. I do too. But apparently Israel is stuck on stoopid too. At this point
Israel has already reached diminishing returns. HezBollah could ride out of this not only with a new powerbase but a victim card that could be played over and over for DECADES...

At this point Hezbollah is on the top in all ways and if they don't stop they'll look like Israel.

I'm trying to be objective. I see both sides. I see they are both stuck on stoopid but for different reasons.

8. "...Hezbollah is on the top in all ways..." Really?
Do you see Syria or Egypt or any other Mideast countries coming to their aid? Hez has been weakened. Some would say the Mideast countries aren't talking too loudly about all this as they're letting Israel do their job for them.

There is no real question that Israel could stomp Hiz'bullah, but it would be a "Pyhrric victory", much too expensive for the result. Even Nasrallah, if you read the speech I put up, understands that perfectly well, he has no illusions about "defeating Israel", his goal is too survive, or to make his demise as expensive as possible, to give a good account of himself.

3. I think an excellent
case can be made that H'zbollah knows precisely what they're doing, and is having their wildest dreams fulfilled by Israel's stupidity.

on both sides but Hezbollah played this one like Saddam played the WMD. They took this shit to the fuckin BANK. It was a fuckin SWEET ASS play.

Hezbollah ain't no rinki-dink operation. They took it to the people with water, electricity, food, schools and religion attached and gained a powerful base. They then they were voted in...democratically created a militia to protect their people. BOOM SHAKA LAKA SHAKA LAKA...You got the holy grail of all political plays. Israel like warmonger idiots attacked a democratically elected party on their sovergin soil after kidnapping 2 people?

I kidnap your wife and daughter...then you attack and kill me, our kids, our parents, our friends, their friends, our schools, homes, water, businesses, roads, bridges, roads, airports, along with Teeve, radio, telphone and mobile communications?

BUHWAWAWAWAWAWAWA! That is the mother of all gotcha muthafuckas. Cuz now I got new hardened members, a multi-national powerbase, and the rest of the world on my side.

BOOM SHAKA LAKA SHAKA LAKA... The fuckin dunk-o-all-in-yo-face of dunks!

The leadership of Hezbolla is cummin all overthemselves right now. They suckered Israel, the US and Britian.

The deaths though...I can't get over that..but Hezbollah is commin out as the victim instead of Israel. I think Israel's victim card is pretty well spent the fuck up.

11. I'm glad you're so easily amused.
It's not over till it's over, as they say, so I wouldn't be slapping my knees too vigorously at this point.
