North Korea slams Israel over Arafat
Edited on Wed Sep-17-03 12:30 AM by bemildred
Sorry, it just cracked me up.

North Korea on Tuesday joined in the international condemnation of Israel
for its threat to expel Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat.

A North Korean foreign ministry spokesman told the Korean Central News
Agency that Israel must drop its plans, withdraw from the occupied
territories and allow a Palestinian state led by Arafat.

"Israel's decision to expel Arafat, the president legitimately elected by the
Palestinian people, is a wanton violation of the sovereignty of Palestine
and international terrorism defying international law and practices," he
said.

At the United Nations Monday, nation after nation publicly blasted Israel
over the plan, which was approved by Israel's security cabinet last week
after two more Palestinian suicide bombing attacks inside Israel.
