Plain and simple. This morning on Washington Journal, Pedro read an article in which it was reported that 95% of Lebanon's industry is unable to function. Last night KO, I believe, reported that Lebanon was unreachable by road now and that humanitarian assistance cannot be brought in. This means that people will need to come out overland. First, to escape, they become targets (remember that we can't tell the Hezbollah from the civilians, no matter what their age or gender). Second, it will be extremely difficult for them to go back for quite some time. And the spoils will go to ????. And will we have another people endlessly repeating "Next year in..."

The total destruction of Lebanon is a disgraceful act, as is the US' destruction of Iraq.
