US: Settlers assaulting American citizens
State Department warns of security problems for Americans, others in Gaza; says, 'citizens of Western nations, including Americans, involved in pro-Palestinian volunteer efforts were assaulted and injured in Occupied Territories by Israeli settlers and harassed by Israeli army'

http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3297436,00.html

<snip>

"Americans are unsafe in the Gaza Strip, and those in the Palestinian area should leave immediately, the US State Department said Tuesday.

Continuing or possible violence in Israel, it said, also makes it necessary for Americans to avoid locations associated with US interests or official US buildings, the State Department said Tuesday in an updated travel warning.

Even Americans and other people working to help the Palestinians should be wary, the warning said.

"In recent months, citizens of Western nations, including Americans, involved in pro-Palestinian volunteer efforts were assaulted and injured in the Occupied Territories by Israeli settlers and harassed by the (Israeli army). Those taking part in demonstrations, nonviolent resistance, and direct action are advised to cease such activity for their own safety," it said."

2. It's nice to know the US has concern for its' citizens in Gaza...
it's too bad they don't care so much about the Palestinians or they would step in an do something about it.

4. American citizens are secondary to Israeli citizens
In the eye of the American government.
Government to the highest bidder. If you haven't already, you might want to watch the movie by Kosta Gavras called 'Missing,' where the story of an american journalist killed by Pinochet's regime is brought to the screen.
If you are to take the lessons that Kosta Gavras gives us to heart, you will NOT trust the State Department to look after us, when abroad.

3. The way you've organized it makes it sounds like
Jewish settlers in Gaza are attacking Americans, and for that reason they should avoid association with US interests or official US buildings.

It's sort of an all-purpose warning: participate in pro-Palestinian activities, settlers might whack at you; be overtly American in Palestinians areas, Palestinians might whack at you.

6. West Bank: Settlers beat soldier
Four settlers, evacuated from settlement of Sa-Nur during disengagement, arrive at Shavei Shomron checkpoint, assault soldier and break through barricade. IDF soldiers dispatched to area arrest them

http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3297852,00.html

<snip>

"The Samaria District Police on Wednesday evening detained four settlers for interrogation on suspicion of beating a soldier and breaking through an Israel Defense Forces checkpoint near the Shavei Shomron settlement in the Nablus area."

<snip>

"The four, three of them aged 19 and one aged 24, who were evacuated from the northern West Bank settlement of Sa-Nur during the disengagement, arrived at the area in a car.

According to the IDF, the four asked the soldier to remove the barricade so that they could pass through the checkpoint. They then got out of the car and began assaulting the soldier.

Meanwhile, one of the passengers approached the barricade and lifted it. The four entered the car and passed through the checkpoint toward Sa-Nur. The soldiers reported the incident on his military communicator.

An IDF force that was in the area arrested the four and transferred them to the Samaria District Police for interrogation. The police plan to indict them."
