Hamas says new government won't recognize Israel (after arab states send $'s to Hamas!)

The Arab states that were part of the economic pressure on Hamas by the UN states (the EU, the US, etc.) have agreed to break that boycott and begin sending funds to Hamas, stating that Hamas had agreed to the Saudi "Arab Plan" for getting talks going again.

Guess not. Hamas only wants to talk about Hamas taking over control of Israel. I wonder if Israel will now choose to sit down with them?

GAZA (Reuters) - The ruling Islamic militant group Hamas said on Tuesday a planned Palestinian unity government would not recognize Israel or accept a two-state solution to the Middle East conflict.

Hamas's stance could undercut Palestinian efforts to form a unity government acceptable to Israel and its closest ally, the United States, casting doubts on whether an eight-month-old Western economic boycott would be lifted.

Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum said the agenda of the proposed unity government between Hamas and President Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah faction "will not recognize Israel and will not include accepting the two-state solution."

"We reject the two-state solution, which is the vision of U.S. President George Bush, because it represents a clear recognition of Israel," Barhoum said. "Our position in this regard remains unchanged. We reject joining in any government that recognizes Israel."

1. Aren't they wonderful and peace-loving?

Israel should just trust them and open their borders let them in for brunch.

I especially like how reasonable they are and willing to compromise. Don't you?

I know I'd be all relaxed and happy having them next door to me.

2. i like the clarity...

straight and too the point...that means they will continue to shoot kassams from gaza, continue with the suicide attempts from the westbank (the wall makes most of them unsuccessful, + checkpoints + raids.)

hes made it clear that what israel does or doesnt do will not change their perspective...guess well have to wait until the palestenians "dump' their govt
