Bangladesh, Choudhury, Democracy & Freedom
Both Bangladesh and Choudhury as well as democracy and freedom are all on trial. Which will win? Which will lose?

In November 2003, Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury, a Bangladeshi-Muslim journalist and editor of The Weekly Blitz, an English language newspaper also online, was arrested at the Dhaka-Zia International Airport just before boarding a plane which, via a connecting flight, would have taken him to Tel Aviv to promote peace and interfaith relations between Jews and Muslims. Having accepted an invitation from the Hebrew Writer’s Association to deliver an address promoting understanding between these two “People of the Book” he might possibly have been the first Bangladeshi journalist to visit Israel.

Where are all the world “human rights” organizations now? Amnesty International? Human Rights Watch? The International Solidarity Movement? The United Nations? Where is the liberal media now? Where are all the politicians and political pundits when you need them?

Answer: Burying their ugly hypocritical heads in the sand like an ostrich with a double standard and without any conscience, decency, honesty and morality let alone any “human rights” values.

Where is the world’s outrage at this miscarriage of justice?
