Water supply restored to W. Bank residents after 48 hour shortage

Mekorot Water Company workers repaired a faulty water pipeline Wednesday that has failed to supply water for the past 48 hours to tens of thousands of residents of settlements and Palestinian villages in the Dolev-Talmonim and Nili Na'aleh areas in the West Bank.

there is this fantasy going about that crops up every so often that israel needs the westbank in order to steal the water and that the settlements are also stealing the water locally (and it seems for some that included the invasion of lebanon...israel wanted the lebanese water, remember those posts?)

why is it a fantasy?....for one, the two major acquifers under the westbank are also accesable from the pre 67 borders, the third is used by the settlements in the jordan valley

2) as can be seen in the above article the settlers get their water from the israeli water carrier....whos sources are not streatching over into the westbank.
